Linda's Story
Hi All...
After graduating, I worked in the credit field in Fort Lauderdale. I later worked in the Dental field as a chairside Dental Assistant and office manager. Also was president of the Broward County Dental Assistant Association. I became a Scuba Shop manager in 1968 and then moved to Dayton, Ohio, where I worked in Credit again. I lived in a converted Barn near Wright Patterson AirForce Base. The weather there was not so good for me physically.. so I moved back to Fla and worked for a Dentist again for 17 yrs.
One night a Dentist friend gave a party and I went. After a party, I went with a couple of my friends to Brother Jims "Big Daddy's" which was then on Commercial Blvd.E. Dennis was there and had danced one dance with one...Expand for more
of my friends, and then she introduced him to me and that was that... Took four years, but we were married and the rest is history.. 1974 and going strong...
I keep busy these days, as care giver for my 88 year old mother (she still lives over by Riverland Road) and am busy with local Holly Day parade Committee and Forest Ridge Women's Club (Davie). I also am editor of three newspapers for different homeowners associations in Broward County...we put out quarterly publications.
